Good Reads: Find and Keep by Beci Orpin

I got this book for The Good Lady Wife’s birthday last year after getting really excited about it online. Then with one thing or another we both sort of forgot about it. Then, yesterday, it made it’s way back into the lounge room and we got to get excited all over again.

It’s by local (Melbourne) based artist / illustrator/ designer / all round creative potentate Beci Orpin and let me just say this…

Beci Orpin makes Rad Stuff!!!

There’s loads of cool projects for the kids AND the home and there’s a definite crossover between the two. This is not your “glue and pipe cleaners” kind of kids craft, but you know what, I reckon she’d make it pretty rad if that were the case:) They’re all beautifully presented and set out in easy step by step format with awesome photography. You can tell she’s a designer.

We’re going to start painting our wooden blocks off the back of a quick flip through this morning but there is a lot more inspiration to found in here.

It’s definitely worth a look. Check it out at your local library or if they don’t have it, you can grab it on amazon for about 20 bucks.

Full disclosure, The link on this page is an amazon affiliate link. I’m recommending it because it’s rad, I’m not affiliated with Beci, this is not an ad. If you bought the book via that link I’d get a kick back, not enough for a pony but maybe one day enough for a book of my own:)

P.S. What are your thoughts on affiliate links? I’m still not sure about them.
